Finally, images out of a collimated Epsilon 210. WooHoo. The top image is a sum of 32 2 minute images. The image was collected and processed in iCCD with an SXV-H9C. The image was fully processed in iCCD using the LRGB color processing routine. The image was finally tweaked with Photoshop to remove vignetting, probably from the filter cell/spacer. The second image is the same raw frames without aligning. The polar alignment was obviously a bit off. It appears that even 2 minutes was too long as there is trailing in RA of the stars. All in all, I am pretty happy with this image as it is significantly better than the pre-collimation images. My thanks go out to Fred Garcia at Texas Nautical for getting the Epsilon Collimated. |
