This image was collected with a Stellina observation station from Vaonis. The Stellina is an 80 mm f/5 telescope that
uses a Sony Exmor R IMX178LQJ 6.44 Megapixel Color CMOS Image Sensor.
The advantage of the Stellina is the easy of setup and ease of transport. Setup takes about 10 minutes before you are imaging.
One of the limitations though is that each image is only collected for 10 seconds, so many images must be stacked.
This image was collected on Sept 19, 2021.
The night was clear but windy. Moon was nearly full. Image was collected at Conway Observatory site.
M57 is known as the Ring Nebula. It is magnitude 9.5. It has a size of 1.4' or 0.9 light years.
It is located approximately 4,100 light years from the earth.
