This image was collected with a Stellina observation station from Vaonis. The Stellina is an 80 mm f/5 telescope that
uses a Sony Exmor R IMX178LQJ 6.44 Megapixel Color CMOS Image Sensor.
The advantage of the Stellina is the easy of setup and ease of transport. Setup takes about 10 minutes before you are imaging.
One of the limitations though is that each image is only collected for 10 seconds, so many images must be stacked.
This image was collected on Sept 7-8, 2021.
The night had low ground fog but was relatively clear. Conveniently, the streetlight was out in front of the house.
M31 is known as the Andromeda Galaxy. It is magnitude 4.5. It has a size of 178' or 160,000 light years.
It is located approximately 2,500,000 light years from the earth.
