This image was a composite of three images collected at the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory on top of Kilauea before the collapse.
Camera was a Sony Alpha on a cheap tripod I bought at Walmart.
Orion is rising in the east over the erupting Kilauea Volcano.
The lights on the left are those of the famous Volcano House and the Kilauea Visitors Center.
Exposures were limited by the brightness of the erupting volcano. Still on e of my favorite photos of all time.
